The Bye Week

So, as an Eagles fan, the dreaded bye week is among me. This is a time to reflect just how much football is a part of me and my family and friends. First and foremost, the idea that it is a just a game is soooo far off. Football is more than just a game, its a hobby, and gathering, a celebration, a time to catch up with friends and family and even more.

Football sundays are used for so many reasons, that the game, which becomes a sidenote, is the icing on the cake. Don't get me wrong, watching the game is very important to me and millions of fans worldwide. But, the idea of celbrating the food, time spent with family and catching up with friends is priceless.

So, for the bye week, I will venture out and do the dreaded mall thing, wash the car, clean the house and help out my wife the best I know how. But...next Sunday its back to Chili, grilling, friends, family, cheering, booing etc...
